Feb 20 (Reuters) – ChatGPT-maker OpenAI has told investors that it is targeting roughly $600 billion in total compute spend by 2030, CNBC reported on Friday.

The company is projecting total revenue of more than $280 billion by 2030, with nearly equal contributions from its consumer and enterprise businesses, the report said, citing sources.

Microsoft-backed OpenAI’s 2025 revenue totaled $13.1 billion, beating its $10 billion target, CNBC said. It spent $8 billion last year, coming in under its $9 billion projection.

OpenAI did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
